Handy woman

We ordered Mallory a little playhouse because her preschool has something similar & her teachers have told me several times how infatuated Mallory is with it.  Mimi's exact words were "she will fight the other kids over this toy."  Well, that's not what any mother wants to hear about her little angel, haha!

When we moved last weekend we put a lot of her toys in storage.  Some she had outgrown & some that I was just tired of seeing because they created a lot of clutter.  For that reason, we decided to buy her a few new things, the playhouse being one of them.  It came in yesterday.  I knew Patrick would be getting in too late to put it together but I couldn't wait for her to see it & play with it since she loves the one at her school so much.  I looked at the box, & it was pretty big so I figured it couldn't be in too many pieces & surely I could put it together myself.

TA-DA!! 

I know a lot of people who are very handy & think that putting something together like this is nothing, but it was a big deal to me!!  I have always had Patrick do things like this because they intimidate me for some reason.  Luckily though, Patrick's dad still had all his tools in the laundry room from where he put up blinds for us the night before, so I had access to his many power screwdrivers.  It seemed to take me longer to figure out the screwdriver & many heads of it than it did to put the house together.  Once I got it figured out though, it went really fast!  The best part is, Mallory LOVES it.  I hope that we have got rid of a bunch of toys & replaced them with a FEW that she will love just as much.
