Saturday was our third attempt at going to Mike's Farm. The first time we had planned to go was on a Sunday and we found out at the last second that they are closed on Sunday's until after Thanksgiving. We planned to go the next Saturday (which was the weekend before Halloween). Big mistake! The haunted hayride had begun and the lines were insane. If we had waited, we would have been on the hayride after 9 pm and eating in the restaurant between 9 and 11. Waaaay past Mallory's bedtime. We finally had a successful trip last Saturday. I am probably the only person in the world that thinks Mike's Farm is overrated, but Mallory had a good time.
Here she is with daddy. I had to joke him about his jacket. We were getting in the car to leave and he told me he was going to run back inside to get a jacket. He came out with this khaki jacket that looks just like something my Grandaddy Billy would wear to church. I asked him, "Seriously, that's your jacket?" He says it's the only one he has. I know what I'm getting him for Christmas now.
Mallory loved the bunnies best. She really was not supposed to be in the pen with them, but daddy likes to break the rules.
Waving at the bunny
So cool mom!!
She needed a little snack
Mallory says 'hay' a lot and always points out hay when we are at my parent's house, but oddly enough she was scared of it when I tried to sit her on the bale to take a picture.
Get me outta here!
She loved to push the stroller

I've seen enough of Mike's Farm. Bye y'all!!
Well I didn't even realize you had gone to Mike's Farm, but it looks like Mallory enjoyed herself!! You are NOT the only person who thinks it is overrated, I agree 100%. I would rather pay a few more dollars for a hayride I don't have to stand in line to wait for two hours, and Grandma Jean's cooking is by far better than what they serve. Well, I don't know about the mac-n-cheese. That stuff is to die for & I've never had Grandma Jean's!!haha.
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel ANY better, the only jacket Bill will wear is his black hoodie with a dinosaur on it. I suppose it is my fault for buying it for him, huh?
ReplyDeleteWe never go out to fancy places anyway. ;o)
Cute pictures. I've never been to Mike's farm (but I hear everyone talking about it!). I tend to go to the Mallard/Andrews' farm whenever I'm in NC (haha!). Amy's got chickens which thrills the girls to no end ;o)
